DLT Off-line

After powering off (then back on) the dlt and server. Arcserve cannot pick up the drive, for instance when doing an inventory the message 'device offline' appears. The device however seems to have been picked up OK at startup.

If using Windows, check the Control Panel/SCSI applet to see if the DLT drive has been recognized by the OS. Make sure that the Windows driver for the DLT has not been installed. Arcserve uses its' own device driver for tape drives.

Do you see any additional tape devices under Arcserve Manager/Device Manager?

If using Netware, make sure the tape device is listed when the SCSI board driver loads.
