I have a compaq proliant ML370 with a DLT drive. Operating system windows 2000 server

At one point we got problems in the event viewer showing
Event ID: 11 source adpu160m.sys the driver detected a controller error on device scsiport

According to HP this is a known problem and they made a patch for it. So I installed the patch restarted the server etc.

The logs were gone only the Tape drive has a red cross in the system manager. It is somehow disabled.

In the device manager the tape drive has diappered.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Or know this issue

It is a compaq DLT drive VS 40/80.

Thank you for all your help.

Patrick

Presume you tried removing the tape drive from system manager and letting it redetect it?

Suppose it could be a firmware issue on drive. i.e. early firmware not working correctly with a newer driver.

Can you see the drive in the insight agents at all?

the solution was a lose cable in the server.

Stupid ans strange but we fixed it.

Thanks for the help
