Hi,
yesterday our Windows 2000 Server memory usage was very high. I checked and there were unusually high number of services running. I also found DLLHOST.EXE service and 4 or 5 svchost.exe services.
I know DLLHOST.EXE was connected to Welchia virus, so I scanned the server again and found nothing. Also our virus definitions are current and we have all MS security updates applied. I restarted the server and memory usage is normal for now, but DLLHOST.EXE is still running. I know DLLHOST.EXE is a legit Windows 2000 Service but I don't know if we are running anything that it requires dllhost.exe.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
