I am getting a ton of DLL errors on one of our servers, and I cant install any new programs or do any updates. I cant create an emergency repair disk because I dont have a floppy. If I do an upgrade repair, will I lose any of my RIAD 5 partitions. if I lose thise Im screwed, should I just leave it alone?? Thanks in advance to any help

Some things to bare in mind;
- Are the DLL errors related to one particular application or is it all applications that seem to generate errors
- Have you researched the DLL errors to see if they don't tie in with other errors
- Try un-installing the faulty applications and check to see if errors are still being generated after this
- Make sure your hard drives are not heavily fragmented.
- Perform some hardware diagnostics to see if you don't have faulty memory which could be causing application faults

If this server is really in a bad way, I would format/re-install the OS and your apps. Your RAID-5 should not be affected unless it is software based and not hardware.

They pop up in all applications, If I open internet exporere I get error 58 like 20 times, then If I open network places I get nethood.htt error. Theres a different dll error for a bunch of diferent things.

If I can add to the above, have you also checked for viruses, spyware, etc on this server.

As I have indicated if it's that bad off, format/re-install (backup important data first of course).
