Hi all,

I have searched this forum and tried some of the hints and tips listed to resolve my problem without any success. A bit of background re my problem..

Equipment Used
DI-524 Cable Router (1.11 firmware latest from D-link Site)
Windows XP Sp2 as vpn server
Windows Xp sp2 as vpn client
ISP - NTL broadband with NTL Cable Modem

I have setup the server and client as normal. When i connect I encounter the Error 700/721/800 errors. The vpn pass through has been enabled on the router and port 1723 and IP port 47 enabled too. I seem to get as far as the router and it times out.I have also disabled the sp2 firewall.

For troublehooting i have configured this on the lan and it sems to connect without any problems. i have also installed a additional NW card in the vpn server and used a different class address acting as the wan address and this also connects fine. I can also remote manage the router using its wan ip address from the internet.

when I connect a laptop to the wan interface of the router and try and vpn in i get blocked (time out). So I think this issue might be a router issue. D-Link are unable to provide any answers.

If this problem has been encountered and overcome successfully, or if any one can provide other hints or tips please advise. your help will be much appreciated.

Regards
