I have a Dlink DBT-900AP, it is a Bluetooth Access Point connected to my network. It does not have a DHCP server built in and there is no web interface, so I am assuming my Linksys router will assign an IP to any devices that attempt to connect through the Access Point.
The question is: Should the Access Point always be assigned an IP from the DHCP server on the router? Or do some APs just act similar to a hub and never get assigned an IP?
