Hi,
I've got a 900AP+ rev C, and I've been doing some tests to measure its performance.
All kits got the very latest firmware.
Two PCs are involved, one with a 520+, the other with a G520. In all cases I have disabled XP from automatically configuring the cards, and use the dLink utility instead.
Now the 520+ connects at 22mb, but the G520 will only connect at 11Mbps. I can set it to 24 or 54, but it goes back to 11.
I copied a 22Mb file from 1 machine to another, it takes about 80 seconds. This is a performance of under 3Mb a second.
I know I will never get 22Mb, or even 11Mb, but surely I must be able to get more than this? I tried putting the 900AP+ right next to the computers, but it didn't effect the performance.
Any ideas?
One other question, if the 2000AP+ offers better performance etc than the 900AP+, why is ot cheaper?
