Hello we have a Merlin Magix and MMessanging 2.5 our DLC is set up at ext 100. The problem is if a person hits 0 for the operator and she is unavailable, it just rings and rings instead of going into her vmbox. I checked if ext 100 is part of cover group 30 and it is.... Any suggestions we
be highly appreciated! TIA -Ben

go into the voice messaging administration. Under prompt 1 (system parameters) see if the Call Answer Service Operator is set to 100. Or, in Automated attendant administration, check the dial 0 timeout option is set to transfer to extension 100 or (if it is set in system parameters as 100) the call answer service operator. That should help you with what you need.

Naperguy's right. The default call answer service operator is Ext. 768, which is actually an invalid extension. Because the Merlin Messaging is transferring to an invalid extension, the call goes to the Operator, but actually to Logical ID #01, NOT extension 100. That's why it doesn't cover to voice mail. Sometimes this is what you want, sometimes you want it to roll to VM. If you want it to cover, just change the Call Answer Service Operator to Ext. 100, and it's OK to leave the Dial 0/Timeout at "Transfer to Operator
