I have a customer with a 7.0 Legend and a Keyvoice voicemail. They want a second console. It is a very busy car dealership. The original console (MLX20L w/1 DSS) has 10 SA buttons. The voicemail is set up to answer 1st on all calls and then if they want service or administration, they dial "0" and the call is sent to x300 (the existing console extension number). All was well until they asked for the 2nd console. I was just going to multiple the 1st 9 SA buttons onto the new console and all would have been ok. I didn't realize that you couldn't put shared system access buttons on a DLC console. I don't think a calling group will work either because only 1 call can be handled at a time and there are times when multiple calls are in various states of transfer, hold, park etc on the existing console. Making them QCC's would probably work except for only having 5 call appearances. There are times when the existing console has 6 or 7 calls in various states-being held, transfered, parked etc. Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Cover the first console on the second, as well as have all the line appearances.

What is with car dealerships and Legends. Totally unrelated to the thread, but still. I think over 50% of the car dealerships in my area have legends. Oh well, oh and what pepperz said is what needs to be done.

Pepperz:
You said to cover the 1st console to the second. Won't that just ring the primary cover button that I assign on the 2nd console? And I don't have any line appearances on the 1st console, just 10 SA ring buttons. Let me know.
Thanks.

Yep, BUT instead of just picking up the phone, and filling up the only Cover button, do this: 1) Program a Pickup button next to the Cover button 2) When the second console rings on the cover, press an extension button first, then press the pickup button - that will pull the call onto an extension button and free up the cover for another call. Also, the Park feature should be used here. Put extra buttons o the second console to handle the extra volume.
