I have a 5i and a 5300 array controller in my DL380.
The 5300 controls the 4 SCSI hot plug 36.4GB disks configured RAID5. The 5i used to have 2 x External DLT IV 40/80GB drives attached but I decided to remove these and attach a DELL LTO Ultrium unit instead. I restarted the Server. During the power on both 5i and 5300 devices used to be detected and it would report that 2 tape drives were found and give their IDs. Now only the 5300 is reported and when I log onto Windows 2000 server, the 5i is reported as new hardware and I am prompted to add the correct drivers (so far with out much success).
Where have I gone wrong ?
Thanks

Sorry - should have updated this thread. I had the 5i controller replaced under warranty which solved the problem. It was a hardware fault.
Thanks for the post.
