Client has a DOS version of Great Plains and is being moved
to Great Plains version 8.0.
In the DOS version, when entering an A/P invoice, user can enter a location/division which is automatically added as the 1st segment of the G/L default account numbers.
Also, when selecting checks, the location/division is added to the default Cash account.
In Great Plains versions 8.0 + 9.0 this feature does not exist.
Is there a third party add-on which would enable this feature in Accounts Payable?
Possible work around and program modification:
The client could manually change the division number on the
default accounts payable and expense accounts on the distribution screen.
When selecting checks, if a modification could be made to pick up the division number from the A/P account
and move it to the Cash account (when the Cash entry is generated).
Thanks, Glen
