Dividing T1 bandwidth...

Hi All!!!

Here's the situation, I have a Cisco 1720 (ISP Managed) with a full T1 attached... it's lan port goes to our PIX515 wan and then you can figure out the rest... We will soon install a very vital Internet server. What is the easiest way I could segment off 512k for this specific machine... We understand that we may have to purchase additional equipment, or possible have the ISP segment off some of the T pairs...

What are your thoughts and or recommendations on this subject!

You can do it on the router, although I'm not sure of the capabilities of your 1700 specifically. Investigate having your ISP set up QOS on it for you.
