Diverts, forwards, hunts & VMs 1

Hi,

Can I confirm how hunts, diverts & VMs work?

I've got two sets, 3181 & 3184. The user wants to divert 3181 to 3184 & all VMs to go to the 3184 VM.

I know if I've got 3181 set to hunt to 2799 then I know any calls to 3181 that don't get answered go to 3181's VM.

If I set 3181 to hunt & forward to 3184, then all VMs will be left on 3184 will they not?


I realise the other option is to make 3181 a phantom that diverts everything to 3184, but I've not yet confirmed with the user if they need 3181 as a physical phone.

Forward 3181 to 3184 and set CLS SFA for secondary forwarding allowed and it should hunt to 3184 VM

If you have CallPilot then ff the caller dials 3181 then the call will go to the voice mailbox for 3181. Doesn't matter if it forwards to 3184 or not.
You will need to delete the mailbox 3181 and then modify the mailbox 3184 adding 3181 as an Extension DN.
