divert all meeting requests not working as hoped

I have a client who wants all of his meeting requests to go to his PA to enter into his calendar. We are running Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2003 currently.

I have played with the delegates tab today. I have selected the "send all requests to delegate only" option but it is not working as expected. I was hoping that my client would not get a meeting request at all and it would not go into his calendar as tentative, but it does.

What I want is for the meeting request to go to the delegate only, and she adds the appointment to his calendar manually.

Can anyone suggest a way for this to happen, even using a third party app? I have tried with rule divert as well, but neither option prevents the tentative appointment being entered.

That's exactly what we have done, as I explained. Only the meeting requests go to both people. We only want the meeting request to go to the delegate. The client does not want any meeting requests in his inbox, and no tentaive auto-accepts, ONLY apointments entered by the delegate.

Also, both client machines use Outlook 2003.

I suppose training people to send the invitations to his assistant is out of the question? And I have to ask, what's the big deal as long as he gets the meetings entered in his calendar?

You don't know our client! We are approaching contract renewal and he is a prima donna who throws his toys with monotonous regularity and this is what he wants!

As for training people, yes indeed, we tried that for the last two months...
