DIV questions

Hi... I'm having some problems...

is there any way where I can control the DIV's background transparency, like, set it to have a 50% transparency background??

This is a microsoft only solution:

<div style=&quot;filter:alpha(opacity=40);width:30%&quot;></div>

In order for these filters to work, some dimension (width,height) must be specified, or positioning must be absolute, something like that anyway. There is more about these at:
