div in td bottom align

hi there..

I have a div in a td that I want bottom aligned

in the td I've tries valign="bottom" and vertical-align:bottom;

in the div i've tried vertical-align: bottom;

Internet Explorer aligns to the TOP no matter what.

Firefox is fine when the css or html method is used

Is <td> big enough to accomodate the div? Could we see more code -- it would help us test the problem easier.

I only realised the similarity between this thread and my own - thread215-1035629 - after I had posted.

I reached a solution so it might help to have a look.
