Distribution Status 2

I installed Framework371, DM37, TEC371, Inventory40
Database Oracle806
I run the mdist2 scripts, the rim objects are running
After patching framework p59 until latest level p67 i cannot open the icon
distribution status. It doesnt run from the gui or from command line.
From commandline wmdistgui brings an error:
....JRE/JRE_3.7 no such file or directory

in the readme of patch59 there is a workaround that JCF 371 should be installed
as product, and JRIM 371 should be installed as patch.
I did install it but i coulnt start distribution status icon.
Who has an idea?

reinstall the java products. That will get you going.

I am having the same problems. When you say 're-install the java products', should they be uninstalled first or is it simply a matter of installing the product from the Tivoli desktop?

I believe it was patch 67 that broke MDistII and the fix was to install the java pieces of the patch (at least that is what Tivoli Support told me). Then if you install any Framework patches released after patch 67, you end up in the same boat. I opened a PMR with Tivoli and ended up doing some command line entries to fix my problem. It appears to me that they were trying to close some type of security hole with the patch and ended up breaking something else.

You can edit the file %BINDIR%\bin\wmdistgui and update the line

# JAVA_VERSION and RUN_JAVA are set above

. $BINDIR/../generic_unix/JCF/JCF_3.7.1

to

# JAVA_VERSION and RUN_JAVA are set above

. $BINDIR/../generic_unix/JCF/JCF_3.7


You don´t need reintall java products. This action fix your problem.
