Distribution Lists

I would like to create a distribution list that consists of GAL users and a few external SMTP addresses. I would also like only a few people to be able to see it through outlook. What would be the best way of doing this? We are using Exchange 2K sp3 and Outlook 2k SP3.

the only way that comes to mind right now is to add the external users email addresses to your contacts list, then create a DL in your contacts consisting of all the email address (internal & external) that you need, and then either share the contacts folder or better yet move the DL to the other users that need to use that DL.

Create the external addresses on the Exchange box so that they can be seen on the Gal (or not up to you). Then create a Dist List through Exchange and set permissions for the desired users to view when needed.

That should work.
