Distribution Lists not syncing with Blackberry

Hi all. Having an issue with syncing DL's on blackberry. Running Exchange / BES server, BB desktop manager 4.0.1, handheld client 4.x Have tried 2 different units with and without wireless sync. DL's were created by users in Outlook. Email addresses in DL are both corporate and smtp addresses.

All contacts sync, DL's will not.

As far as I have ever known, Distribution lists do not sync down from outlook to a Blackberry, and they dont Sync up from a Device to outlook. Just one peice of functionality the Blackberry does not have.
