We setup a Distribution Group that has 2 members from another company that we work with. In AD, they are setup as contacts with the external email address, and then the contact objects are added to the Distribution Group. Whenever one of the employees from the other company sends an email to the email address of the Distribution Group, they receive an error NDR with the SMTP error of "5.5.0 smpt;556 Cannot accept message from this email address". Whats happening is, the employee is sending an email from email address user@abc.com to our list list@xyz.com which then returns that message back to the user at user@abc.com so the email has the same email address in the To and From fields and their email server does not like that. Is there any way to change the way emails are sent out from a Distribution Group to masquerade the from email address to possibly list@xyz.com? Thanks.
