Distribution agent (merge repl)

Hi,

I am constantly receiving following error message (Merge replication on SQL
7.0 SP2):

21306: Another distribution agent for the subscription(s) is running

I know that the problem is with orphan process and if I kill this process
(Kill spid), or restart server, everything is OK for several days. Then some
other publication (I have 19 publications involved in merge replication) is
starting to show same error message.

Can someone explain to me why is this happening or how to prevent this
error?
