Hi:

I want to distribute a database system that I developed among other users of the same server. We are using Windows NT. I have done the following:
1- splited the database into front end and back end using the database splitter of MS Access

2- I saved the database as MDE file.

3- I used MS developed wizerd to develop a setup of the application.

4- I did setup the application on my computer in order to test before distributing it among other users. I used the /runtime commond line.

When I run the application using the /runtime command-line option, I got a bank screen of the MS Access viewer.

I can open the installed database using the full Access but not the viewer.

I will appreciate it if anyone helped me.

Thanks

Tarek

When opening an Access database using the Runtime version, users are not able to see the database window. You must make a Switchboard for them to access the various forms, queries, reports. You will find it under Tools|Database Utilities|Switchboard Manager

See, I never got that far. That's cool, ricochet. That's why I love these places--you learn, learn, learn. Even when you're just trying to help somebody else!
