Distributing servers

I'm looking to add a report job server, CMS, pageserver to another machine with apache running on it. Is it a case of slecting the servers in the install and installing, then how do you get them to connect to CE on the main machine

Hi,
this should be covered in the Install Guide for CE. From what I remember the machines must be identical in terms of operating system, machine spec and be on the same subnet otherwise the new machine won't be able to find the existing machine.

You will need to do a new install on the new machine and select "Custom". Install just the components you need and then go into the Crystal Configuration Manager. Here you can specify the Crystal Management Server that is to be used (I believe it is on the command line for the Job server etc so you will need to stop each of these on the new one).

Hi,
For the CE servers Apache is not relevant( except for the Web Component/connector), the OS is.
