I have been looking for a way to get Crystal reports to see an Access 97 database regardless of where it may be stored on the users system. The VB app reads the database location from the registry and I can pass that address to Crystal. My problem is how to get a Crystal report to look in that location for the data. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thank you.

1) you can generate the recordset in the application and pass the recordset to Crystal.

2) I believe there are ways to point the report into specific directions. However these will vary depending on:
a) how you are connecting to the data (ODBC / Datafile)
b) how you are running the report from VB (OCX, Automation Server, RDC)
c) the version of Crystal you are using
