Distributing Crystal Reports reports

Hi,

I developed a report in Crystal and would like to distribute it among a few users.

By distribute it, I mean I would like to give them the ability to run the report from their computer and print out the results.

In a previous version, I remember I was able to create an EXE of a report (by going to Report -> Create EXE or something similarly simple). I placed that EXE on a user's desktop and they could run the report from the EXE.

I'm working in version 8.5 and I don't see a similar feature. In fact, I don't see how I can distribute the report.

I would rather not install the actual Crystal Report software on these users' machines...but how can I get them to run the reports by themselves?

The Report Distribution Expert didn't ship with CR 8.5, but can still be installed as an add-in. You can download it here:

With Crystal 8.5, you can create a either a compiled report or use the report distribution expert. However, the compiled report has been discontnued beginning with version 9
