Hello all,

We are having an issue with our Distributed Voicemail setup. We have IP Office 9.0.8 and Voicemail Pro 9.1.3 (or is it 9.13). Running. The Distributed setup is running in a few offices. Most have no problems now. We were having version issues and problems with the *17 code not being right. Some had "?"U, some had "?U" and others just ?U. I was able to get everything on the same version and same coding. Now when users press *17 option 3 is available to all Distributed Boxes. It was not before this.

Here is my problem now, we have one office of about 10 people. Of these 10 people 2 have no problems. Meaning they go in, they change their greeting and the system changes it once it syncs. The rest, the system says it changes it, when you go in to check it tells you Greeting one is recorded and active. Yet when you call that users you get the system greeting. I have checked the Syncing, files match on both servers. I have removed the users and set up a new users (Same info). I have not tried to remove the user then remove all the corresponding folders. Do you think that is worth a try?

Anyone have any in sight to this issue? I now not many people use Distributed, i am starting to see why.

windows or Linux?
Are the SMTP services configured correctly?

Do the software versions match on the system & the VM Pro's? you say V9.0 IPO but V9.1 VM Pro, this is not a good idea

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

All systems are Windows, the SMTP is correct (and working partially).

In all the systems, the IPO is 9.0.8.
In all systems the VMP is 9.1.3.

I don't want to spend the money to go to 9.1 on the IPO. Do you think rolling the Voicemail Pro back to 9.0.? would get me better results?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Why would you upgrade VM Pro to 9.1 if you don't wanna upgrade the PBX?

That was what was installed when we took over. My current concern is paying to upgrade the PBX and not fixing the problem. Downgrading the VMP is free.

Considering how bad 9.1 was in the beginning you might have better luck with later 9.0

down grade voice mail pro version to match the IP Office then

Looks like I have a job for this weekend. I'll let you all know how it goes. Thanks for the tips.
