question:

When i advertise software to a client can i give the advertisement or package a setting, that will first look if the software allready is installed? So that the advertisement don't install the software again on the client.
I heard something about a registry key???

thnx.

SMS has its own check for completed advertisements (if the ad has already run, don't re-run it) but SMS by itself does not check to see if the application is already installed.

What you could do is to write a pre-install check into your installer to look for a file name or registry entry or some other "proof" that the application is already present. It's not a perfect solution but will probably do OK in most cases.
