Baixinha: You could use the Distribution Expert to anaalyse what files are required to run a report and you can then include these in the VB distribution David C. Monks

But I need the .rpt to run my program correctly, but if I give it together the program, he goes open and anybody can open (if he/she understands, of course).
Baixinha: I am not suggesting that you also distribute the program - this would violate Seagate's licence! What I am suggesting is that you use the Distribution Expert to tell you which files (these will include the rpt file) to send. You are correct in understanding that if your client has their own copy of Crystal they will be able to change the report but if you want this level of security you will need to take another route e.g. Info David C. No, I said only the file created by CR. His format (when you save, is .rpt). when I send together my program, in this format (.rpt) anybody can open if he/she has the CR.
I don't send CR, only the file created by CR.
I wanna know if have how change the format (.rpt) and the VB continue to understand the report.
