Distinctive Ringing

Hello all! I have a remote site whose users want distinctive ringing for inside and outside calls. From what I have read in the user manual and here on the forum, this is a hard and fast feature that cannot be changed. Outside should be 1 long and 1 short, and inside should be 1 long. The users and site tech insist that the calls ring the same for all calls, whether inside or out. This system was just newly installed (out of the box two weeks ago).

Is it possible that the calls are somehow ringing the same? If so, how do I go about setting a distinction between in and out?

You were correct in how outside and inside calls ring - the only changes they can make is choosing one of 8 overall ringing patterns. Maybe choosing a different ring pattern will help them distinguish calls better.

If you have any Single Line ports, put a pleasant sounding external ringer in a common area. Program it to ring on the incoming pool.
