We have 2 MICS - 7.0 @ corporate, and 6.1MR3 @ the warehouse, and 2 T1's (NON-PRI).
All sets at both locations have direct-dial phone numbers, whose last 4 digits match their extension.
When the warehouse calls me (for example), the ring is identical to when someone calls my direct-dial number.
What I'd like to do is have a distinctive-ring for when the warehouse calls vs when someone is calling me directly.
Since we do not have PRI, we do not have caller ID.
I changed the 4 voice channels at corporate that communicate with the warehouse (lines 051-054) to have a distinctive ring. During testing, the phone had the default ring
It appears that the distinctive ring will only work with target lines if the target line is the line that has the distinctive ring, and not the channel that it comes in over the T1 (which defeats the purpose of trying to distinguish a warehouse vs direct-dial call).
Outside of adding a second target line with different received digits, is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks
