Distinct Count for Dates with Times 1

I have a report where I want to count distinct dates. However the database has the time associated with the date. The distinct count takes into consideration the time as well. So for one date, I am getting three as the distinct count because the there are three different times for that date. Is there a way I can have CRW 8.5 just count the date and not the times?

I have tried formating the date to the shortest possible format but the distinct count still includes the time factor.

Do a formula, Date({your.datetime}) or even Totext({your.datetime}, "yyyyMMdd"). Do your 'distinct count' on the formula.
