Does anyone know what the below error means?
One of my operators is getting it alot.
If they keep trying to distill after about the fouth or fifth time it will work.
Acrobat Distiler V6.0.0
Mac OSX.3.8

%%[ Error: ioerror; OffendingCommand: pdfmark ]%%

Stack:
[{fstream}]
/FlateEncode
-file-

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

I think, but am not sure that the last line is telling you that there's a problem with the postscript file being distilled - generating the error.

What if you try one of the canned Dstiller settings like screen or print. If the problem reoccurs, you could be reasonably sure it's the underlying postscript file. If it doesn't, you can be resonably sure it's your Distiller setting or something.

Of course you can always have the fun problem of a corrupted font cache. Have you cleaned your Adobe font caches lately? It's a PITA but necessary - like taking a shower - I take one once a month whether I need it or not. If you don't remember use Find in Finder to search for AdobeFnt and Adobe07Fnt and trash everything with the .lst extension. Make sure you quit all Adobe apps before doing this. You could also run Font Finagler to get rid of the other caches in X. A corrupted PS font cache will generate a PS error.

Did you try the proberbial trashing prefs for Acrpbat/Distiller. Prababy can't hurt.
