I'm desperate.
Old laptop had this setup that was working great:
Windows XP pro,
MS Publisher 2000,
Adobe Acrobat 5 with Distiller Printer shown in the list of installed printers

HD broke. Got a new notebook w/Vista from BestBuy because IO need to finish my job ASAP.

New Vista setup:
MS Publisher 2003,
CS3 suite

How do I use Adobe Distiller 8 to produce PDFs from publisher files?
Do I need to save .pub files to .ps or just print to PDF?
I see only one PDF printer driver in my print dialog... but on the old laptop I could see Distiller printer in addition to PDF one.

Thanks

Thanks

You should be able to "print to pdf" but you can always save as .ps and Distill that.

None of the Adobe apps are updated for Vista so you might have some hiccups.

Thank you jmgalvin !

So, 'printing to PDF' will actually Distill my pub files?

Yes - using the defaults you have established in distiller. Look for something like "pdf options" in the print window. You should have s selection like "press", etc.
