distance from phone to BCM

I have a phone that the message indicator is sometimes delayed or dosn't light at all. I think the run around 500 feet on cat 3. Phone seems to function fine every other way just Msg waiting dosnt always appear. Could this be due to the distance of the cable run???

Nah ... you're well within the loop limits.
Have you swapped out the set with a known good one?
Make sure "Set Relocation" is off first.
