Hi All,

Using CRXIR2.

I created a report in which it displays Rec #, Qtr,........ Report is grouped by Rec#. It gives result as follows:

Rec # Qtr .... ....

001 Q2 .... ....

010 Q1 .... ....

100 Q3 .... ....

002 Q4 .... ....

020 Q1 .... ....

200 Q3 .... ....

Now user want to see the last record Qtr at the top of the records which as follows:

Q3 (this quarter is of record # 200)

Rec # Qtr .... ....

001 Q2 .... ....

010 Q1 .... ....

100 Q3 .... ....

002 Q4 .... ....

020 Q1 .... ....

200 Q3 .... ....

My question is it possible to display last record qtr on the top of the list of records.

Yes it is possible. Click on "Report" in the menu bar and then pick "Group Expert". Select your group and then pick "options". Click on the drown down and then pick "specified order". Add the groups as necessary with the right logic.

Not so sure specified order is your answer. As that will just put Qtr3 as your first group.

You could just add two summaries to your report header, showing maximums of Quarter and RecNo.

What datatype is Rec#? I don't think it would sort the way you show if it's a string, unless there is some outer group you haven't told us about or you have set a group sort.

Also, do you have any page breaks using 'new page after' in the section expert?
