Displaying Text on clicking a button 1

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to display text when clicking on a button. I have a button and when the user clicks on it, I want text to be displayed until they click on another button. I tried inserting a key frame in the "hit" area and then putting a text box and it is not working. Can anyone help me?

place a dynamic textbox where you want the text to appear and give the text box an instance name (mytext say)

then to the button actions

on (release){
mytext.text = "blahblah";
}
