Displaying subform date in a text box

Hi

I have a problem. I have a text box on a form which i want to display some information in (a date). The actual information is a date and is coming from a subform (which is also displayed on the same form).
I want to display the first cell(date) form the first record form the sub form in my text box. The sub form records are diplayed in descending order so the first cell data will change so i need the text box to change accordingly. Please can anyone help.
