Greetings,

I have a course that has a lab class with multiple start times (one for the course and another for the lab) as a result, I get multiple records returned on my report for the same course.

What I’m looking for is to get only one record returned regardless of the two start times and/or it doesn’t matter if it is a course or a lab.
What would be the best approach for this?

the way it is now:

section ID Term section ID Start Time Class Type
0001 2012 01 8:00am Course
0001 2012 01 11:00am Lab
0002 2012 02 9:45am Lab
0002 2012 02 5:45am Course

How I would like it to display:
section ID Term section ID Start Time Class Type
0001 2012 01 8:00am Course
0002 2012 02 9:45am Lab

I tried to attach a sample report, ccan I just browse & attach a file that I saved in my computer?

TIA,

Group the report on a field that is common to the course (the "section ID" field looks suitable based on the limited data in your example) and move the fields you currently have in the Details section to the Group Header or Footer.

Thanks for the reply.

I applied a brake on Section ID but I wasn’t clear when you say “…move fields you currently have in the details section…”

Do you think creating a variable (I’m not sure the exact syntax) but something like:
If [start time] > 1 then just count one Section ID. Since the main problem here is multiple start time.

By the way. I was going to attach a sample word document, the forum can only accept Http format?
