I want to make so that on the display of DTS the characters of my national language (Russian - Cyrillic alphabet) were imaged.
It fails to execute it through command KSCHC because so it is possible to actuate of 5 (7) characters only.
However in cells CHRVAL A0... FF initially there are uncommon-used special characters. And changing it by standard commands is impossible. But if this information is stored in some program unit, then changing it is possible by command SACOS. Probably, it will decide my problem?
My question: in what program unit the graphical information of standard and special characters is located?
Switch: BC10 CNI141

I ask to inform me by any ideas on it. Please state also unverified information too. It is the very important problem that I want to resolve.

Serg75,

This is 12-years old problem :(

In short - you can't do anything!

To have Cyrillic letters on DBC phones, you need to make changes in display controller.

Typical "Catch 22".
To order those changes to manufacturer, you must guarantee, that you will bye, let say 20K telephone sets. And phones will be ready in half a year.

To sell out this amount of phones on the market, you must have phone with Cyrillic letter on hands NOW, start marketing program bla-bla-bla....

Endless story :(((

Hello Avstral!
Thanks for the answer.
2 points of view are known for me: à) characters stored in the terminal, and b) characters reshapes by MD110.
Some years ago, I compounded the character map of DBC. Then I had BC7. The map was received almost same, what is presented in the documentation of BC7.
Now, on BC10, I have detected absolutely other characters! On same DBC202/203, made in 1997! And the character map now almost completely coincides that is presented in ALEX for BC10.
Therefore I think that the graphical information is stored in some program unit. I am not right?
P.S. Bla-bla-bla is a good song :)

to Avstral and all

Please, clearify, what does it mean - "Catch 22"? Timer for 22 seconds? I guess not, then what? :)

Thanks in advance

In any case, Avstral is right!
The character's shape is stored in the LCD driver (KS0066FX00 for DBC3212 and M50530-001 for DBC3213). That drivers has RAM for 8 characters only, the remaining letters is located on the ROM :(
That interesting - what in DBC4000 series? This DTS have a graphical display with font downloading possibility. Who make LCD modules for Ericsson (Seico Epson or OPTEX or somebody else), what part# they have and what IC uses?

To all concerned

Currently i had an MD110 BC11SP12 with 2 type of PCB

1.ELU28 ROF1375334/3 R3B
&
2.ELU28 ROF1375334/2 R1A

I am using DB4222 & DB4223 & DB3212 & DB3213.All the above 4 types of phone is unable to display the letter " p " on the display.Rest of the letter is OK.

Can someone comments & advise.

Thank You & have a nice day.
