I have set up a Parameter to allow for the entry of multiple codes that can be selected in a report.
However I can't find a way to display the entered select values.
Any ideas?
The fundamental problem in CR is the result of a formula cannot be an array. If you select multiple values for a parameter, you are creating an array. However, CR cannot display an array, so all you see is the first element in the array when you insert the parameter field into the report, even though the parameter field is an array. So you have to convert an array to a string. Well, you are further hampered in that CR doesn't have simple array functions, like to find the number of elements in an array, or even a case statement. You might have better luck with version 8, as there is a case statement and perhaps some more array functionality.
There are some ugly that will work most of the time, but I haven't been able to find a satisfactory solution yet. I would like to hear of one...
