displaying message in statusbar/changing mouse pointer from a macro

hi
i have macro wherein i perform a lot of processing ...which goes on for several minutes ..in the mean time i want to display some message in the status bar / or change the mouse pointer till the processing is complete..
any tips on this highly appreciated!!!

If you have Cognos Support and a user id at their website, look at:

http://support.cognos.com/supported/lib_supportlink_temp/vol11no1_pg51.html

or go to the Knowledgebase and do a Supportlink search on 'Showstatus'. This is code for an activeX control that you can do to report on what the macro is doing.
