Hi,

I have forgotten how to use the tput command to display lines for my ksh scripts.

I think it's an option on the tput command like smso to switch bold on.

Has anybody got a list of characters / parameters so I can make my display look pretty from my scripts?

Cheers

Jita

I've found that different emulators give different results.

tput smso - reverse/bold on
tput rmso - '' '' off
tput sgr 0 1 turn off standout; turn on underline
tput sgr 0 0 turn off standout; turn off underline
tput sgr 1 1 turn on standout; turn on underline
tput sgr 1 0 turn on standout; turn off underline

Hi Dickie Bird,

Thanks for that.

Will this enable me to do vertical lines as well? and
the list 90 degree right angles for the corners?

Nope !
I've only ever used minus, plus and pipe ( - + |) for drawing frames.
