Displaying line on top of text box

Hi,

Using CR XI release 2 on a SQL database.

I have a textbox with text in my page header that is filled in grey with white text. How can I make a white line appear on top of it? Sort of like a custom underline. I tried to 'move' the line to the front and the textbox to the back, but it does nothing. Am I missing something here?

Instead of adding a line, insert a second text box with the top border set to single line and the border color set to white.
