Displaying Jpeg Blobs in Reports 9?

I have an Oracle 9i database on Windows 2000 that has jpeg images stored in blobs. When I include the blob field in a report, the property inspector indicates the field is an image and it has a length of 4 which is not right. The image does not display. I just get a few funny characters in the field.

I have been unable to find any information on displaying images in Reports beyound a statment the Reports supports blobs.

Has anyone managed to get this to work? Any suggestions?
