Right now I'm trying to set up a view that shows the main group and all the tasks associated with it for a particular day. I know in the calendar view it shows all the tasks, but it doesn't show the heading for those tasks and that's what I need because some tasks are associated with more than one group. Can anyone help?

(People: please tell us what version you are using.)

P2003

Step 1: display the task name information

1. Format | Bar Styles
2. In the top portion of the display, click on Task
3. In the bottom portion, click on the Text tab
4. Next to the box labelled Left, click on the blank space and select Name.

You'll want to do this for Task, Split, Summary and maybe Project Summary bars.

Step 2: display today's tasks

1. Click on AutoFilter so that it is On and you can see the little triangles.
2. On "Start" click on the little triangle and click on (Custom...)
3. Select "Less than or equal"
4. In the datebox type "today" (no quotes)

This will eliminate tasks that haven't started.

5. On "Finish" click on the little triangle and click on (Custom...)
6. Select "Greater than or equal"
7. In the datebox type "today" (no quotes)

This will eliminate tasks that have already finished.

The tasks that display are tasks that are being performed today.

You can, of course, enter a specific date instead of "today" to get tasks on those dates.
