I am building a web app using ASP.NET..

I have a few Gifs on each form..

The bg properties are not fixed. I am using the correct path as in /images/image.gif

why is it that some gifs will show but others will not??

I am new to web site design so forgive me.

I posted this in the ASP.NET forum and got no response

any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I'd need to see your code if you say the links are correct- not much else I can think of off the top of my head. Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..

the last three buttons will not show up..

Images don't show usually for a very limited number of reasons:
1. check the path: they all look the same so make sure the images are actually in that directory
2. check the names - case sensitivity
3. check the extension. not including the bgimage, you have four images, the last 3 are not showing and also are .jpg, but the one working is a .gif.
4. since you are using absolute positioning make sure there are no layers hiding your images (are you seeing the "missing image" box?)

I was thinking of changing them to gif format..and yes i am seeing the image box will the form loaads but no pic..I created a image button from a jpeg..

Thanks

How do i check if there are layers hiding the images..I have another form with jpg's that works fine..

Thanks

The higher the number for the Z index, the more visiable an object is- so something with a Z index of 1 will be hidden if something with a Z index of 2 is placed over it.

I don't think it's your Z index- I'd say it's something to do with the image labeling Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..
