I'm trying to display the contents of an external DTD (a file saved with the dtd extension), but the browser refuses to show it, giving me the message: "Cannot view XML input using style sheet." and "XML document must have a top level element."

The program I used to create the DTD says it is correct.

There is nothing wrong with your DTD. Your browser is attempting to parse the DTD as XML, and it fails, which is normal, it's not XML. Just view the source of the page and you'll see that all is well.

Hope it helps!
