Hi, Is it better to just put my last degree (the B.S) on my Resume or to include the other 2 I have?
Right now I'm just listing the Excelsior degree.
These are the 3 I have:

University of the State of New York Excelsior College
Albany, New York
Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, 2004

Briarcliffe The College for Business and Technology
Woodbury, New York
Diploma: Computer Programming, 1996

Nassau Community College
Garden City, New York
A.S. Associate in Science, 1995

thanks..............

Mary,

Your résumé is your time to shine, to sell yourself, to provide full disclosure, and to give the interviewer the most reasons to hire you.

So, yes, put all of your education acumen on your résumé or curriculum vitae.

I agree with Santa that you should include all of your education on your resume, but I would not, under any circumstances, refer to the diploma as a degree.

I would also list them in decreasing order of value not in chronological order. I would show the BS first, the AS second, and the diploma third.

I agree with them. On my Resume I list my BS and AS degree.

Although I do not have a formal degree from any institution, many people acknowledge that I have both an ample BA and much BS, along with MS and Phd, but I choose not to mention any of them on my résumé. <grin>

I would say it is better to put the latest achievement first, BS degree and then the Diploma. Since you already have the B.S. degree, it is assumed that you already have the A.S. degree or equivalent.

University of the State of New York Excelsior College
Albany, New York
Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, 2004

Briarcliffe The College for Business and Technology
Woodbury, New York
Diploma: Computer Programming, 1996

thanks travisle . .

>>Since you already have the B.S. degree, it is assumed that you already have the A.S. degree or equivalent.

That was the main reason why I wasn't putting it on
the resume. But I might put it back on because most
people never heard of Excelsior college and might think
it is a diploma mill or something. It was called
Regents College and they changed it to Excelsior, but
I wish they haven't.

Is there any reason you wouldn't just list this as

University of the State of New York Excelsior College
Albany, New York
Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, 2004
(formally Regents College, University of the State of New York)

just to make sure that no one misunderstands?
