I wrote my book in individual chapters and the one chapter for some reason does show the side white area.

Usually when i place a picture i like to look at it first and i usually put it off to the side so it doesn't shift all my text, but on this one chapter the sides are grey and any picture in the grey area just shows as a blue outlined box with no picture until i bring it onto the actual pages.

Also i seem to have lost my border lines, you know those red lines that tell you where your margins are so you can center you text.

Any Suggestion on how to reset this chapter so it reacts like all the others?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Running Adobe Indesign CS 3.0.1

Problem 1 - You're in Preview mode. Go to the bottom of the tool pallette and click the bottom left (Normal) button.

Problem 2 - should be fixed by going to normal mode but you can also check the View menu for things you've set to not display. You'll see teh command "Show" for hidden items and "Hide" for visible ones.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
