Hi All,

I'm using Crystal Reports 10, and I have a very interesting problem.

I'm dealing with 3 formula fields. Two of the formula fields have borders on all 4 sides, and they are placed right next to the other, so that the right border of one overlaps with the left border of the other. The color of the borders for these two formulas is grey.

The third formula has a border only on the right side, and the color of the border is black. This formula is placed in the middle of the other two formulas in such a way that its right border overlaps with the overlapping borders of the other two formulas. The idea is to display two grey boxes with a vertical black line in the middle.

The problem is that the formula with the black border is being displayed BEHIND the other two formulas, and the line in the middle of the two boxes isn't black, but grey. I selected the 'Move To Back' command on the grey formulas, and that seems to do nothing. When I try right-clicking on the black formula and select move, I only get two options: 'Move To Back' and 'Move Backward'. The option to move the obect 'To Front' is missing. Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks.

JC

The object is already "forward" so you don't have the option of sending it backwards. Send the other two objects to the back instead.

Thanks for your reply GDARINO,

Please, Anyone?

I tried removing the right border of the grey box on the left, and the left border of the grey box on the right so that the black border of the middle formula would show up. This works, but the grey lines look disconnected from the middle black line, and that's not unnacceptable.

I also tried switching the colors; I made the two grey formulas black, and the black formula grey, to see if Crystal Reports preferred to display grey over black. The result was that the grey line in the middle didn't show up, so it's not a matter of color; the problem is something else. Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks.

JC
